Tri-Lakes Title Company owned by Stephen Babbit formerly in Springfield facilitated a sale of my property that led to almost 8 years of legal problems. They do not have E & O Insurance to cover the cost of their mistakes. This company put the wrong legal description on the property sale papers. When they were informed about the problem, they refused to do anything. I currently hold a judgment against the company for my court costs, but as we all know -- good luck collecting! Babbit has basically "laundered" the Tri-Lakes Title company that did the work on my sale into another Tri-Lakes Title company; therefore not liable. Save yourself the trouble, DO NOT waste your time or money with this company.
