Tom Halpin is NOT a CPA. He used to be a tax lawyer, but he no longer has his license. AVOID THIS GUY LIKE THE PLAGUE!!! He is totally incompetent! You might get your $50 worth if you are single and you have Tom filing an EZ form for you, but if it's anything even slightly more complicated than that you'd better take your business to a professional. Even the people who work for him are total rejects. His right-hand man, Jerome Urchek, is not just a total idiot, he has had his license revoked by the state. See for yourself: www.dleg.state.mi.us/bcsc/forms/dar/05-3.pdf No legitimate tax preparer in their right mind would hire this guy, but Tom did. Give this review careful consideration before you join the ranks of Halpin & Associates' many casualties. At the end of the day he gets paid regardless of how much you lose!
