Erik Veblen is a SLUM Landlord of several Duluth, MN properties. Erik owns property in the 600 block of East 4th Street which yrs ago was a motel & apts. behind. SHIPROCK of Duluth used to manage these & they will work with ALOT! They even had to pull away from the Out of Town Slumlord that Erik runs his business from in the Twin Cities. From what I've seen- apts are pretty scuzzy. Takes advantage of the Low Income. Has a $50 Late Fee o rents. I just looked up Shiprock they only charge $25. Dealing w/ Maintenance is horrible! Erik keep s heat off til OCt. 15th in his bldgs. I am very sure Erik had heat prior to that date in his nice home. It was in the 50's in my apt.The List goes on & on. That David he hired for Duluth office is a piece of shit. Wears his lil tie. Has his gf. bring him lunch in her pjs while he smokes up a storm in office along w/ her huge dog. He works 10-3pm FIVE hrs like he needs a lunch break. Poor boy! Oh... does his tummy hurt? Twice tired to pay rent & he was out getting lunch. Again on a 5 hr work shift. Get real! David doesnt even rent from ECDI himself. Geez... I wonder why? Apts to nasty? yep- And whats w/ the 60 day move out notice? Like they need it? Most places are 30 days. 60 days are for super nice/ luxury apts. not these dumps. Apts. I looked at were empty since July 2013, couldnt get in them til late Aug as they had to "clean" it what ever that meant.It surely wasnt. Dog hair for days we vacuumed off rung. Ick! Had to scrub shower multiples times before I could use it. The frig/ stove were found w/ crusty food inside.Repairs are made & big mess left in entry ways. City Inspectors are at our apt building many times over & over. Where is lil David? No where to be found. The maintenance guy is getting yelled at by the City Inspector. Should be Erik getting dumped on. He's making the big bucks on this old dump. I could go on & on but wont. You get the picture! Beware!
     david - 12/21/2014 - This person was one of a kind. I know exactly who this was. She could not keep food on the table for her kids, she couldn't even pay the $50 a month for her portion of rent (hra paid the rest) house always smelled like weed. Hmm wonder where the money went. And hey where did this money come from. The boyfriend that wasn't on the lease? The guy that the cops were always trying to get because he was a felon and broke his parole? Haha ppl like u were who I was trying to not rent to but you put up a good front. Chicago is moving up and looking for cheap rent. What do u expect? I don't work there anymore because of all the drama and tenants not being able to pay there $50 in rent. Don't get me wrong there are a few good tenants and they know who they are. Those maintenance men r awesome. They work there butts off trying to keep those cheap apartments going. Did I mention they r downtown and cheap? What else do u expect? And by the way I didn't actually where a tie, r u serious? Y would I wear one? I wore nice looking clothes because I was trying to get nice ppl into these apartments not drug dealers. I tried and failed. One person cannot change duluth and get rid of pieces of crap like you. Hra pretty much makes this impossible, they have a good cause but a lot of ppl abuse this. Oh and take a low blow going after my gf bringing me lunch. Wish u had someone that cared about you? We lived literally a block away. And she never wore pajama pants to my office. Really? Do u have something better to do besides stalking someone trying to work and live there life? Wow. That was my dog by the way. Wanna meet her? I'm sure she would love you. Lol I don't smoke either. Good try I bet it was the good tenants up stairs that actually pay there rent. These are smoking apartments. Not my idea but I don't own them. I could go on and on but I won't. You get the picture.
