On June 18th I contacted Mr. Eric Van Pelt in reference to conducting an appraisal on some property, for a divorce proceeding. He accepted conducting the appraisal for a fee of $500.00. I sent him a check that afternoon, which he immediately cashed when he received it. Since that time, I haven't been able to contact him. He refuses to return my calls and I have no idea if the appraisal has even been completed. There have been several attempts at reaching a property settlement but without the appraisal, all it’s done is cost me additional Attorney fees as no agreement can be reached. The matter is schedule for a final hearing on Sept. 5th and without the appraisal there cannot be a fair and equal division the assets. I strongly suggest, if your needing an appraisal, you find someone else. I have every intention of hold this individual accountable for his actions. But its of little consulation, considering the damage he has caused.
