- Missed Deadlines and did not update parties - - Jennifer Coates-Wang - 9/30/2015 - comment
My Sellers were to close Contract Date of 9/25/15. 3 days before closing, the Buyer Agent calls to say Ed is not ready. I reached out and tried to be supportive that the contract expecting this to close within 30 days was unrealistic and that many title and lenders require 45 days with the new updates which go into effect October 3rd. They reassured me that this was not the case. Just not ready. So then the morning of closing, the buyer agent calls to say, again this lender is not ready. And does not give any day or time that it should be postponed so agents can have the seller and buyer sign a contract extension addendum. So when I left multiple phone messages and Ed did not respond, I searched for his office and called that number. Then he returned my call while I was on the phone with his staff. He then made inappropriate comments that I may not understand English (knowing that my last name is Coates-Wang). I became upset with him as I am Caucasian American and this is completely inappropriate to say in a business matter that is his fault for not completing. He did not get the job done on time, even rescheduled. He is disrespectful and racist. I feel sorry for the customers and employees working for him! Find a Direct Lender who doesn't have to shop your loan out and miss deadlines!
