We hired Katie for my brother's divorce and since I was paying for her services I had many interactions with Katie. I found her to be forgetful, disorganized, and not trustworthy. Unfortunately it was too close to mediation and we had already paid a lot of money to switch to another lawyer, in retrospect, I wish we had. She made many errors in her correspondence and at times her email messages seemed incoherent. She admitted that she was not prepared for mediation, and it showed. She argued with me on financial information that I had worked weeks to provide her which showed the money my brother’s ex-wife had stolen from their joint accounts and moved in to her accounts, and huge deposits that were unaccounted for. Katie, for some reason, felt it was not important, it wasn’t until I forced her to look at the spreadsheets that she realized the value. She also reneged on her verbal agreement and charged me more than she said she would. I would not recommend her.
