Dowse charged a retainer, took the money, several thousand dollars and after 6 months, he resigned. Attorney Dowse was hired to help obtain parental rights and did not represent my best interests. I had a vebal agreement with my daughter's mother and Dowse was supposed to iron out the details and get it on paper. Instead, he slowly gave away my rights. I started with one week of visitation, 7 days per month and ended up with zero. I repeatedly asked him to take it back to court for a judge to decide and Dowse refused. Dowse claimed I would get less if it went back to court. Dowse would talk his way out of it and I would shortly receive another one of his bills in the mail. I spent Thousands for his services and got nothing to show for it. After 6 months of negotiating. After I paid him thousands on fees. Dowse negotiated the few precious days a month I had with my daughter down to Nothing. I TOLD him to take it to court. It was at this point that he wrote me a letter of resignation. He literally wouldnt take my case to court and he quit. I hired another attorney the very next day. My new attorney got my case back in court in only 4 weeks.
