This is a positive review of Daniel Townsend, president and owner of Associated Adjustment Bureau in Tucson, AZ. My interaction with Mr. Townsend began after I received what seemed like an unreasonably low adjustment check for damage to the roof and interior of my home. The insurance company (Aegis) offered about $5000 to repair roof and water-damaged drywall. I had roofer bids from $5000 to $12,000 to repair/replace the roof. The interior damage was substantial, and I estimated it would cost close to $5000 to fix. So, I need at least $10,000, and up to $17,000, which means the Aegis $5000 check wasn't going to come close to paying for everything I needed to be done. Not knowing how to challenge an insurance company's decision, I did an online search for help. I found that I needed to speak with/hire a public adjuster, and found Daniel Townsend in Tucson. From the outset, Daniel was exceptional, not only because of his years of knowledge and experience, but also the fact he was willing to offer “free advice”. His reasoning was, the amount of money involved was fairly small, so his services would “eat up” any extra money he might be able to obtain. So, he gave me in total about 2 hours of his time, providing me with clear direction on how I could “do it myself”. In the end, following his directions, I negotiated an increase in Aegis' total payout from $5000 to $15,500. That amount should be adequate to make the needed repairs and also to replace some water-damaged clothes and shoes. While I would not expect that Daniel can afford to give everyone free advice, I was impressed that he was willing to help me out. He provided fast and good communication by phone and email, excellent professional competence, and showed that he is a good person who cares about and doesn't mind helping the little guy. I would definitely hire Daniel Townsend if I had a larger insurance claim to negotiate.
